Take me away. Press

my thin and itchy skin

between your covers

all day. Make the journey

scary, addictive, guilty,

electric or more painful

than my limited imagination or

more sophisticated, a shade

that takes a new word

to describe. Let me hide

in the shadow of a thicker spine,

slide down satin ribbons

that languidly imply

your ample patience,

stopping time until

I arrive, dog-eared, foxed,

beat. Tempt me to try out

your untouched sheets.
