J.K. Ware is a spoken word emcee, songstress, poet and born writer. As a native to Washington, D.C., she graduated from the Duke Ellington School of Arts, where she was formally trained in literary media arts. She has performance experience at various venues throughout the United States and her published works include poetry and essays. J. Karma Ware has been a resident to the Atlanta area for the past three years, and is currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at Kennesaw State University working towards a B.A. in Modern Language and Culture specializing in Spanish and Chinese. She continues to hone her craft while she pursues her dream to finish her education. Her current writing projects include a volume of original poetry, a screenplay, and a novel.
